Needed for installation: Masking Tape, Isopropyl Alcohol & Paper Towels.
Carefully trim around plastic shrink wrap that is covering the BowShield.
CAUTION: Be sure to leave the plastic shrink wrap packaging film on the face of the BowShield to prevent adhesive from getting on the stainless surface during installation.
Test fit the BowShield to your bow. Placement of the shield should be 1/4 inch from your bow eye so that the roller rests on the shield. The BowShield is pre-creased in the center.Use a corner of a countertop to bend the shield so that it fits the shape of your hull.Bend a little and take it to your bow to test fit. This may take several attempts to get the correct shape for your hull.
Caution : When working or bending this product, Always wear gloves to prevent injury to yourself. This product can cut your skin if not handled properly.
Once you get the correct bend and shape, clean the area and the back of the BowShield thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol. DO NOT REMOVE the plastic film on the front of the BowShield until installation is complete!
Open the tube of adhesive.Squeeze the adhesive onto the back of your BowShield and come within 1/4” of all edges. Once you have applied the adhesive use the supplied glove to evenly spread the adhesive. Carefully apply the BowShield to your bow and apply pressure.
Use paper towels and isopropyl alcohol to clean any adhesive that has squeezed out around the edges of the BowShield. Once you have cleaned up any excess adhesive, apply pressure using masking tape to hold firmly in place. Let cure for 24 hours. After 24 hours, remove the tape and clear plastic shrink wrap film. Your installation is now complete.
